Coaching
During his studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Geoffrey developed a passion for classical song and opera and spent most of his student years accompanying singers. He graduated in 2011 with a Masters in Répétiteur Studies and has since been coaching singers professionally. His main specialisation is Italian repertoire and language, but he also enjoys coaching other opera repertoire and song.
In 2017, Geoffrey started working as an Italian repertoire coach at the RCS, coaching students within the Vocal studies department as well as at the Alexander Gibson Opera School. His work focuses mainly on Italian diction and the use of the language in song and opera. He has coached at the RCS’s Masters productions of ‘Opera Scenes’ and also for Opera Bohemia, at their productions of ‘La Traviata’, and ‘Madame Butterfly’.
